Hi, all.

I own a 2011 Cross Roads on which I want to install some electrical gear.

The local dealer mechanic told me that the best place to get switched-power (so it's only active with the key on) is a wire lead that is located under the fuel tank on the left side and that's just secured there with some "cheap tape."

I cannot find such a lead and I can't take the bike into him right now due to snow. I'd like to get everything installed this evening.

Anyone know how to find that lead and get it pulled out far enough so it can be worked with?

Thanks!

I bought my '12 today. Dealer said the lead was in the fairing.

I can tell you that while mine is apart for many upgrades that there is a
2 wire connector, on the left side, middle (front to rear) of the tank
just above the wedge. don't know what it's for but be cautious of current draw.
