| G'day folks first time in here as I only bought my new demo Cross Country a fortnight ago,I'll look for an intro page and do the full blurb when I can,but for now,can anyone tell me if they have or can run Amsoil 20w50 full syn in all compartments?,I went to the local dealer here in Newie last week and the reply was"If we get shudder in the clutch we'll rip it outta there",but they could not tell me for certain I can run it.
So what I am asking is has anybody been running it it their Cross Country?
Cheers for now Phil from the land down under. | |

| I run the Amsoil 10w-40 in my Cross Roads. Live in Arizona desert, for Aussie it is the south West U.S.A. and the heat of the summer is probably very similar to yours. Got 23K miles on the bike so far, so good. Ran the Amsoil 20w-50 in my Triumph Speedmaster for 74K miles and never had to change the clutch on that air cooled twin. Good oil. Did have my clutch slip on my Victory one time, under extreme conditions. Had my rather large grandson on the back and myself going up an on ramp to the freeway. Clutch did slip a bit , but I really on it kind of hard. Swithed back to regular oil, then next oil change I switched back to Amsoil again, just did not feel the bike cooled as good with regular oil in it, no I can not prove it. Got more piece of mind(crazy mind, ha,ha) running the Amsoil. Good luck. | |
