i saw where it says you need to also purchase a cam carrier as well ?
http://www.lloydz.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000030
so i am understating this correctly that you would need roughly about $1000 in just the parts to do this cam job?
aside from that, how has is this cam? |

| Got LLoydz cams put in at the 2012 AVR in my 2008 Vision. Wish I had it done years ago!

It has made a big difference in power but has dropped my fuel mileage a bit. |

The reason it is called a "touring" cam is that it works best with the exhaust found on Vic touring models. The original VM1 cam is a direct bolt in to your bike. No carriers or clearancing needed. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | The cams are the same price. Like Kevin says, the higher lift cams make their power at the top end of the RPM range. Either cam will require a top air filter, a timing gear, and fuel controller.
I did the intake myself some time ago. Kevin just did the timing gear and fuel controller. Bike is so smooth now off the line. Can't wait for the money for cams.
Sooo happy with the way bike runs now, but I want more! lol

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | Sorry, I was just looking at the cams. Either are $520. I didn't realize the carriers were available. I was thinking a trip to the machinne shop to have them clearanced. |
