I'm on the fence between a Cross Country and a Vision. Need to ride a X-bike first.

I got a call yesterday from one of the dealers in Houston. He said they're geeting some of both bikes on the 11th. I'm going to set up a test ride. Like you I'm deciding between the cross country and the vision.

Jeff I am on the fence too...Nice site.....for those of you in Colorado we (C-VRA) riders are getting our first look at the Croos Country on November 10-12 at Colorado PowerSports and again at Rocky Mountain Cycle Plaza on November 20-21. Visit the C-VRA site for detailed gathering with members, BSing and beer drinking. Since there is beer no riding...

The Cross Roads rides a lot like my Vision without the wind protection. Smoooooth bike with good power just missing the toys.

I rode the wifes Cross Roads a little more this weekend...........while it is a great bike I could never go back to just having a windshield. I'll keep the Vision!

I have only sat on them so far... either would be a great cruiser... but it just seems like the Vision might be more bang for the buck... but at the same time... the storage capacity on the Cross bikes is really appealing. I think I'm going to wait to see if the Cross-Bags make it onto the Vision or not. I really like the Cross Country tho....

Ok... do I sound indecisive enough ??

I have a black CC O/O from Rays Yamaha/Victory in Reading, PA. The $1k military cash back and the tax incentive really motivated me to buy. I currently own a 2004 Vegas bagger. My next step was finding a fairing with a radio when the CC came out. I guess I am ready for more power/comfort/accessories without riding an imperial star destroyer.

Last Saturday, I hit a dealer where the Demo Fleet truck and bikes were; rode the XC and the dealer's Ness Vision. Would be a pretty tough choice. They had a great demo ride route, plenty of open highway miles, so we were able to run up to about 90 for a short stretch. No comparison on the wind protection of course; the XC stock screen doesn't offer much protection compared to the Vision. I'd like to see what the XC rides like with the taller screen. Everything else was great though. Like a previous poster said, too bad the Vision doesn't have the Cross saddlebag capacity. I'm getting closer to putting one or the other in the garage alongside the HD.

I rode both the Cross-Country and Cross-Roads yesterday at the dealer open house Distinctive cycle in Freeport, Fl. Lots of power, easy manuvering, Smooth Comfort. I want one! The X-Country will be my next Victory motorcycle!

Midnight Cherry Cross Country on order. I need delivery before Dec. 31st to take advantage of the $500 coupon Vic E-mailed me last month. If the bike slips into next year, Vic better honor the coupon.

My coupon is for a current owner. There are others floating around out there. In order to get these coupons, you have to be on Victory's E-mail list, which you can sign up for at the Vic webpage.

Question for those who have done Demo Fleet test rides.............I think they were supposed to give out an incentive offer flyer to all who took test rides. I didn't get one; think I saw a pad of them on table, but forgot to pick one up. Anyone know what the offer is? I think I heard it's for $1K free accessories if new bike purchased within a certain time period after the Demo ride day. Could be the deal maker/breaker for me. Anyone have one they can scan and e-mail to me (kwillmon@cox.net), or know who to contact to get one?
Thanks!!

I would try the Victory web site first. You could also ask your dealer for details. If your dealer wants a sale he will find out where to get this for you. I do have a $500 refer a friend coupon that I would split with you if you pull the trigger..........it will take 4-6 weeks to get the check but hey it's an extra $250 neither one of us had.

Midnight Cherry Cross Country on order, due in mid Jan out here in CA. I had a hard time choosing between the CR and CC, I don't really like the Bat Wing look but CC just has too many features that I like, so I will live with the Bat Wing and try not to stare at it too much...lol
I really hope the CC is somewhere in between my Jackpot and the Vision since no one out here has one to ride at least until Jan or Feb.

I know how you feel. I'm leaning towards a Vision Tour for the trunk 4 speakers heated grips and seat.

If the CC is ever equipped like a Vision I just may go down that road.

I'm still waiting... Ordered mine on 11/28 and haven't heard anything. My dealer keeps checking with Victory and nothing. Three CCs have been ordered from the same dealer and nothing has been heard. Not even VIN numbers (which would indicate the bike was in the process of being shipped). Missed out on some great riding weather here in Southern California.

My bike arrived in Rochester NH on December 30th, beating the end of year deadline by 1 day!

Of course, with all the snow on the ground, I'm leaving it at the dealer until spring. It saves me from having to drive it home just to store it in the garage.

Have had my black CC for three weeks, two of which were down weeks because of the unusual snow fall we experienced here in OKC. Yesterday and today were beautiful and riding was great! However, only have 150 miles so far. Taking it easy and using a long warm up prior to setting out. I have had no buffeting problems. I'm 5'll", 220 lbs and have lowers installed. I do experience loud wind noise on my helmet and hope the taller windshield, I have on order, will take care of that. The bike is smooth as glass. I belive that it does require longer mirror arms, saddlebag guards, heal/toe shifter, and a stylish trunk, similar to the Corbin Steamliner not a normal boxy looking thing. Oh, BTW, Maxie's Cycle here in OKC has a CC and a CR on the show floor.

My Dealer let me know today, that my new Cross Country is at the dealer still in the crate. He sent me the VIN today so that I can line up the insurance. I am on vacation down in Key West for the month of February, and I will pick up the bike on March 4th. If it weren't for the snow back in Indianapolis and the fact that I cannot ride the bike right now, I think I would be ready to leave Key West early.

I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been working this since November!

It's going to be the longest month of your life. Settle down with your computer, read the articles on this site, don't look outside, joke with us in the forums, thumb thru the accessories catalog, and go to the dealer every week and pet your baby. This is one big support group for those who don't yet have their bikes.

Just laid down the $$$
and waiting on the bike.

I had the opportunity to ride XC and it felt like the vision but much lighter and to me smaller.not cramped but smaller.

the XC stears very quickly and feels very light for a bagger.

the XC feels lighter than my 2005 Hammer.

Spring has sprung and now where is that BIKE

Hay Victory you got bikes to sell and riders wanting to show of the new sleds.

Put down the Down Payment and let the dealer assess my 2005 Hammer for the trade.
a new Midnight Cherry CC is coming home. Victory told the dealer mid May and thats now!

I had a chance to ride the CC at a demo and it handles real similar to the vision except it feels and is much lighter. With the cartridge fork it also has a more rigid front end and feels like it steers quicker.

The lay-out of the CC is different but the shifter and break lever are adjustable so thats just a personal set up thing.

Its like being a kid at christmas again

First Post,
Sold my custom hammer last Sun. Bought a black XC Wed. The Wife brought it home while I was away for work. Hopefully mon will be the first ride.
Only mods so far
Dr. backrest, I pod hook up.
Mods in near future, RPW mufflers air filter and reflash or lloyds tuner, Hid headlight (Best mod IMHO) Tint lower half of windshield and or buy a little taller one if I can't live with the buffeting. Lower wind deflectors, clean up rear brake resi. with a new cap and possibly some one makes a billet one resi to replace the whole thing.
Buy a 2011 if it comes in white.
