Posts: 42 TUCSON, AZ | A good friend has an 03 TC with a broken drive belt. His dealer has ordered a new belt but as of yet it is on back order. Does anyone know of an alternative? He has contacted Polaris, and their statement was, Polaris does not make that part any more.
Any suggestions? |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | It's the same as the belt for a Harley Big Twin, years 1984 to 2010. The C and SC models use a belt that's 1 1/2 inches wide by 135 teeth. I'm not sure if the TC uses that same belt length, or if it may have a couple more teeth. Count the number of teeth on the broken belt and go to any Harley shop, or order one in a Gates, Goodyear, or Dayco from V-Twin Manufacturing. Click on the Big Twin catalogue and scroll down to belts. http://www.vtwinmfg.com

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | TC drive belt is Vic Part # 3011088 & lists for $268, it has 142 teeth -I find it hard to believe a dealer could not obtain one. The closest alternative I've found (and it's $330)

it's the right width and pitch but doing the math it's 140 tooth that would work providing you don't have an OD pulley. Brian

Posts: 42 TUCSON, AZ | Thanks for the help. Our dealer has always been very good. It's my understanding the problem is in getting Victory to send it. The old back order thing ya know. |
