Posts: 92 Chandler, AZ | I'm about to pull the trigger on a new '11 XC, and have a couple of questions after doing Demo rides yesterday. Have any of you gone with the Victory Chubby bars on your XC? If so, do they provide more pullback than the stockers? The catalog description doesn't say anything about measurements. Then, the other question, or possible solution to more bar pullback - the XC Low Rider seat description states it sits 1" lower and moves the rider further forward than the stocker.........anybody using this seat, and can comment on how much forward it sits?
With the stock seat and bars, my arms are pretty much locked, and thinking that will get tiring pretty quick. BTW, I''m 5'10", with a shirt sleeve length of 32/33".
Appreciate any input. |

| Many of us have installed the Santa Rosa Vee Twin Bars, SRVT +2 inch bars. Around $250.00 for the bars. They have the same bend as the stockers, but are 2" longer. Great addition!!!!! |

Do the SRVT bars work with all the stock cables/lines? If so, that sounds like the way to go. |

| Just to ask, i am 6'2". Do any of you taller riders have any issues with wind buffeting using the stock shield? The reason i ask is i own a 08 Vision and am looking to buy the CC but am a bit concerned about the buffeting. I have not rode a CC and would really like to get the white one, problem is here in Mi. the weather still sucks and i can't ride one and i do not want to miss out on the white and silver CC. |

I was just looking at the new Ness catalog; don't see the price for the XC Flip shield.............what do they run? Also, please post your impressions when you get in on and tested. I think the description states it is same height as stocker, so I'm wondering if the extra 3" wind bump will be enough for me. |

| I'm 6'3" and yes the CC has lots of buffeting with the stock shield. I just ordered a 15" one from Cee Baileys for $150 (light gray). The sales guy on the phone suggested the 15" for my height and if it's too high they allow a one time ship back and they will cut it down for you. They also have a new custome shiels call the Cee Dragon with a contoured look that is suppossed to deflect the wind better but I liked the stock looking shield. I traded in a Kingpin Tour on my CC (Black)and love it. It handles great and looks awesome. Only other complaint is the pipes are way too quiet but will have to wait a while for the funds to replenish. Good luck! |

| You can perk the pipes up a little for free if you have drill extensions. Look into your tailpipes; about 15" in you'll see what appears to be the end of them - this is actually the end of one of the baffles. Drill these out with a 1 1/8" holesaw and you're done. There is no need to get the stage 1 flash, your bike will run the same with the mod but sound a lot less like a sewng machine. Don't expect it to sound like a Harley - you would have to give up a large portion of your torque to get it that loud.

Posts: 92 Chandler, AZ | Since I found out about the new Cee Bailey Dragon shield, think I'm going to give it a try......probably the 17" one in Dark Smoke. I'll post comments when I get it on the bike and tested. Also think I will order the new Ness Lowers, but holding off until I check all the vendors out at AZ Bike Week Cyclefest this week, just in case I run across any deals there. |
