| I am 6'3" and need help figuring out how tall I need the windshield. I want to be able to look over it but still have wind blocked. I looked at CeeBee's and like their stuff. Suggestions Please?? |

| Thanks, I did see they have a new shield but I am not sure how tall to go. I want to look over it but not too short. I am also wondering about the differences between to the two styles. Anyone have the bew styles and the tint. Basically I know nothing about the windshields. I just bought the XC Tuesday and love it except for the wild buffeting. |

They make a "flip", and looks like the flip is pretty significant, so should work well.
Hit SEARCH and type in Cross Country. I did a mock-up using light cardboard, taped a ruler to the stock shield, marked off different inch measurements on the cardboard and taped it on, and rode around the block with it at different levels. For me, the +3" looks like the highest I can go and still see over the top; I'm 5'10" though. Was all set to order tomorrow, but now may have to decide between it and the new Cee Bailey Dragon mentioned above (Thanks for the heads-up!). Cee Bailey's gives you their recommendation based on height; also outlines a way to measure exactly using taped-on ruler and string.
Good luck with your decision. |

| Thanks for the info. I ordered from Cee Bailey. Got a 15" stock type shield light gray color. $150 + $22 shipping. If it's too high I can return it and they will cut it down for me. I'm just not crazy about the flip shields look. |

| Got my cee bailey's shield and tested it out. 15" works great for my height. Cut out the buffeting, only get a little wind at the top of my head and can hear the radio perfectly. I can also see over the shield instead of through it. |

Great. Care to show a photo of the bike with the new shield?

| I got a Cee Bailey Cee Dragon and a Gustafsson. The Cee Baileys a great windshield as always but I had some fit and finish issues with the Gustafsson & it just doesn't do the job like the Cee Baileys. |

Posts: 92 Chandler, AZ | I just put a Cee Bailey Dragon on mine couple of days ago - 18" in Dark Gray. Fit was great. At 5'10", I see just barely over the top of it; a 17" would have been better for vision. A definite improvement over the stock 9" Vic shield, but need to get the lower wind deflectors.......kind of hard to tell now what's coming from below vs. over the top. I may still get a Gustafsson 2+ with the flip, then decide which one works best for me, but will hold off until I get lowers installed. |

| I'm 6'3" and just installed the 7Jurock 13 inch flip on my 2012 XCT. Looking about 1 inch over the top.
No buffeting or excessive wind noise noticed. 7Jurock's grey tint is more towards a medium grey. If I do this again I'll go with the clear. http://www.7jurock.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=328 but call as the site does not list the Cross Country Tour yet.

Posts: 39 Fostoria Ohio USA | I just ordered a 7 Jurock 14" with flip in the gray tint for my 2012 XC. I am 6'1" and hopefully can look over the top of it. From what I can gather the flip edge is what helps direct the turbulence up over the rider's head. I'm just going to have to wait until I get it to see if the height will work for me or not. |

Posts: 39 Fostoria Ohio USA | I am very pleased with my 7 Jurock 14" with "flip" so far. I am only 6 foot and one half inch tall and can see over it if I'm sitting up straight (about to the bridge of my nose, maybe a bit lower). The light gray tint doesn't bother me as most of my riding is done in the daytime. |

| I started with the tall stock on my xct. No issue with wind or noise. Tried a KW Flip, at 6'1" the wind buffeting around my head was too much, back to stock, but did like looking over instead of through windshield. Measured and ordered a 7 Jurock 13" flip. This one is close in height to stock, but I am looking over it. In 3 months when the snow melts I will get to try it. I took the Jurock shield to a local printing place along with my stock shield. They were able to copy the black trim that hides the windshield brackets perfectly. |

| I have a question as to how these are measured. I have a 2013 cross country and if I measure from the top of the stock shield to the cutout vent, it is 11".
I want to get about 3-4" higher so should I get a 14"?
The 13" shown above by Slappy looks a lot taller than 2" above stock to me.
Thanks! |

Top of cut out to the top of the windshield (9inches).
Does your shield have a flip at the top?
If it does it is not stock it will be the one from Victory shield from KlockWerks(11inches).

| Considering the Madstad but wonder what it is like in the rain. I can see rain pouring through the gap and soaking me rather than diverting it over and around.? |

Posts: 1 Omaha, NE | I have an 11"madstad on my '13 XCT and i have ridden heavy rain and the unit works very well. I would say better than the stock as you don't have to fight trying to fight looking through it. I did not get any more rain on me than I did with the stock shield either. Andy
