I emailed JTD Cycle Parts last week and was told that their hard lowers for forged bars should release in April. HMD520 is also working on some and has had a spot reserved for the on his website for months.

Whoever comes out with a nice product the soonest better be ready to build a lot of them!

@ HMD - do you have any updates on your progress? How about an estimated release date?

Look:
JTD Hard Lowers. Love the function and looks. I ride in triple digit weather. No more heat than without!
Cuts thru the air. Fuel mileage is great! Ride is stable and quiet.

Are those spot lights in the close outs? How is the fit & finish? Did you have to get them painted when they arrived?

Those are LED Driving Lights that you can order with the JTD Hard Lowers!

Fit and Finish is very good!

I painted the Lowers using Plasti-Dip/Black and finished with Plasti-Dip/Glossifer!

I want to let everyone know I have been tracking issues where it seems the forged bars may not 100% the same from set to set. I know of bikes that the lowers fit perfect while others have a top outer corner out a bit. Although I install every pair on a set on my bench, I had the opportunity to install a set myself on a new friends bike Matt from Ontario this weekend.

First installed right side and the top corner did not fit flush to the bar. Took it back off and it fit again on bench bar just fine. With a lot of patience from Matt, I was able to find a solution by modifying the two wholes where they bolt to the foot peg holes on the bars. The fix was oval the holes for more adjustment. I am now modifying all my parts for both left and right side. A round file opens hole nicely. If anyone has any issues just give me a call or email I will be glad to send a new set of middle brackets. If you would like info on fix I can post pics.

Ride safe everyone!

PS: Here is another great photo just seen today. I wish it was mine but it's not....
