Paul hasn't been on since January when he posted about Sydney passing.  Anyone know what's up with him.  I thought I had his number but my phone plays tricks on me.  Hope all is well.

I am still riding my Vision every chance I get. Now the Vision rides are too few and too far apart.

I ride as a Motorcycle Escort for charity events and need to post a video in the strobe lights I have installed. I also ride it on weekends.

My Vision used to be my primary ride to work. Sadly that is not the case any more.

In the part seven weeks I have only taken motorized transportation to work on five days. On the other thirty work days I rode a pedal bicycle. I have a five mile way that I can ride a mountain bike or an eight mile way on a road bike.

I have lost forty-five pounds so far and my lungs feel better then they have in twenty years.

Not only is mileage down on my Vision...It is also down on my cars.

I paid for the Mountain Bike (with hydraulic disk brakes) in gas savings after a year. So in the middle of June I bought a Carbon Fiber Flat Bar Road Bike with (with mechanical disk brakes). It will take about two years to pay it off in gas savings....unless gas goes up more.

I am not tree hugging save the (fill in the blank) kinda guy but I figured that I should loose weight and do some working out. But I hate working out!

So I have to go to work and work out so I combined the two. My office installed showers a few years ago so I keep clothes at work and get cleaned up before work.

I watched my father die from complications do to diabetes. I figure I should live longer and better if I can.

Bike riding is not for wimps...and nothing says commitment like lock in pedals. I have had three minor wrecks and one exciting crash over the last two years. Thank God I have had not wrecks with cars....but a few close calls.

The minors included scrapes, bruises, twisted ankle and a shoulder that was sore for three months. The exciting one involved a concussion...but I did not black out. All I can say is RIDE WITH A HELMET on what ever you ride! If I did not have a helmet on that day I would have been really really messed up.

Exciting wreck.
I was riding a junk mountain bike home and climbing over curb. Front tire on sidewalk, chain jumps off sprocket, feet locked to pedals, back tire hits curb...all stop. I fall over and hit my helmet on the curb. The strap from the helmet cut me behind the ear. It felt like I stuck my head in a large bell that was ringing. The world started to fade to black but came back when I took a full breath. I dragged me and the bike up on the side walk and after a few minutes I put the chain back on and rode it home.

About a mile down the rode I thought to my self...."I had a wreck. Where did I wreck? I can't remember. Oh crap, I have a concussion!"

I am an idiot....I continued riding home and made it there safely. As I walked in the house I remembered where I wrecked.

Ride Safe

Wow. What a ride and still on two wheels. Glad to hear the cheeseburgers are falling off. And health is getting better. I have 50 mile trek to work. I don't think I'll be picking your method anytime soon.

Funny how we reach that age where being healthier is very importune. When I was healthy I could ride all day and enjoyed. Now lazy and fat no so much.
Happy your doing good
