I'm new to this site. I rode a 2011 Victory Vegas two tone (Blue/Pearl white) for 2 1/2 years. Two weeks ago I traded my Vegas for a 2013 Cross Country Antifreeze Green with Black flames. I've been looking for slip on exhaust for those two weeks and decided to go with the Arlen Ness Big Hunkers. Have anyone out there has this slip on installed on their XC? And would you please let me know if I made a good choice and if you are satisfied with them?

Thanks in advance

Thank you, I received them yesterday, I dont know much about motorcycle mechanic but I'm going to try and install them my self. Aslo, Did you do the recalibration with the Big Hunkers? I heard both comments, some said you don't have to with slip on and some said you need to. What did you do?

I have Power Comander V and had it dyno tuned, but after having to go back and change the map myself because of to rich condition, I think if you unhook the O2 sensors you should be fine.. You might want to concider a better than stock air filter K & n or Lloydz also..

Thanks,

I purchased the Arlen Ness Big Shot II and the victory high performance air filter, I have not install them yet I'm waiting for the Big Shot II to arrive. The bike hardly back fire with the big hunkers alone but I rather instal the fuel tuner and filter.

I called Arlen Ness hq, talked to a Danny, he said that you can use the Victory Stage 1 program for the Big Honkers. I sell Victory's, and most that have bought the Big Honkers with the PC5, have stated that the bike doesn't run as good as it did when it was stock. So that is why I call AN. I just bought the Cross Roads Classic, and I'm going to put the BH's on with the stage 1 program. I'll let you know what I find!

How did that effort turn out? Have you ever put the Ness Thunder headers on one of the cross bikes?

The Ness ThunderHeaders are no longer available so unless you have already spent those $'s, that option may be now gone but since you are a Victory salesperson, it would be interesting to hear your understanding of that condition. I did confirm that the tips themselves are available so that is the direction I have gone. In the future, I will likely de-core or "re-core" my OEM pipes to get that Thunderheader sound since that may be the only way.

I am thinking about putting Ness big Honkers on my 2013 XCT. Do they fit without any modification to the saddle bag guardrails? The reason why I ask is I see if you buy the RPW slip ons you need to by an additional bracket from RPW if you have the saddlebag rails. Any help will be appreciated.

If you search these forums you will see that is only an issue with the RPW's (that I think they have now corrected) but has never been an issue with the Big Honkers.
