I usually pull off my wheels and take them in to have new tires mounted. The service manual says to pull the swingarm bolts out then raise the bike so that the swing arm drops down so the axel can be remover. Would it be just as easy and maybe safer to just remove the mufflers and use a motorcycle lift to raise the bike high enough to get the wheel out?

Can some one give me some guidance on this?

Thanks,

Sunman

If you remove the shock bolt and swing arm bolts the swing arm will drop down for easy removal of the rear tire, just jack up the bike and remove the ale bolt.
