So. Indiana | I was impressed with this. Glad they went water cooled. At 11k this is going to jump up and down on metric cruisers. I'm not overly impressed with the fenders, but I'm glad to see it. |

| And here I thought that Polaris was going to keep Victory as their future higher performance brand while Indian would fulfill be the American heritage brand. Guess I was wrong but the someone needs to address the elephant in the room, could this spell the end of Victory entirely? The new Indian Scout is not only a good looking (especially with the curved mufflers) motorcycle, but completely modern in engine design and at a price point that is below even the Victory High Ball. I think that Indian will sell a ton of these bikes to those Honda, Yamaha (Star), Suzuki, and Kawasaki riders who have always wanted an American built bike but wanted a modern, water cooled high performance engine.
Sorry to say this but I just may have to add a 2015 Indian Scout to my stable alongside my Vision and my wife's two Suzuki Burgman 650s ('08 and '12). |

New Bohemia, VA | Understand, Victory/Polaris will not indicate that Victory will go away, they will even say they will move forward with new models. It is not something we will have a vote in either. I, myself will remain a fan of the Vision and the Vegas/Gunner. But, if I was to plunk down some change on a Gunner, I would have to go with the Scout, despite it being liquid cooled. Don't rely on any thing Victory says about their longevity, if you do, you'll be surprised when they announce they are shutting the doors. I cannot see Victory gaining or sustaining if the Indian badge starts rolling out more bikes like the Scout with that kind of price. I was thinking this morning I was going to change my lighted Victory badges out with the Indian head.
As always, I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Polaris will give Victory a choice in the matter. |

I also havebeen wondering why is there this constant need for some type of conspiracy for either the vision to be ended every single model year or Now this ending of Victory... Is it just that people love drama and conspiracies? or is there actually some type of proof of this? any talks of the company being sold? lay offs? what info is leading to these theories.. just wondering.. |

One of the things Victory owners and riders have been clamoring for years is for an entry level Victory. A bike that is smaller, lighter weight, and easier to handle for new or newer riders who might be a bit intimidated by the size and weight of the bigger bikes. Polaris has supported the Victory brand for over 15 years since introducing the brand in 1998, yet in all that time they have never introduced that smaller bike. Now, in less than two model years of existence, just one calendar year of production, Indian (the new golden child of Polaris) introduces that very bike that Victory riders have desired for the past 15 years. Now, in the new 2015 model year Victory discontinues a number of models except baggers and tourers.
I do find it interesting that the new Indian Scout is a dead ringer for drawings that were leaked depicting a new Victory liquid cooled motorcycle as the worst thing Polaris could do is to follow the 1980s GM policy of simply rebadging the same vehicle with different the names of its different brand names. |

| I love the Scout. Maybe you whiners should have gone to Sturgis and demoed one like I did. But then you would have to leave the computer screen and do something.
Little Shit is a blast. LOTS of power, low to the ground, fun to throw around.
I guess I would have to tag the 300lb hottie at the bar in the parking lot and leave her there cause there ain't no p-pad... |

Do you really believe that a bike that is bringing in millions per year to Polaris will see the doors closed? I certainly do not. There are tons of things that Victory could do to improve its profits but even a break even situation for a 15 year old high dollar product is positive. |
