When will Vic release the 2016 lineup? I'm thinking it's early July but can't remember.

Thanks,

jf

Believe they will be unveiled at the Dealer Convention in Las Vegas, beginning on 7/26 I think.

I thought it was on the 4th of July since that was when the first model was shown back in '99.

Yup, end of July to coincide with the dealer's meeting and Sturgis. Let's see what exciting new colors are in store. Personally I hope that's all that changes, I don't want to fall for another Vic. It's getting too expensive!

I'm surprised that people are "wondering" what Vic is up to considering all the news lately...

I heard that the Vision is being done as a liquid cooled "Road Glide" styled version of the Cross Country. So essentially a frame mounted fairing Cross Country with a radiator. This would make sense as it would be a better seller/competitor with HD and streamline the bagger line since the bikes would be more similar. Guess we will see in a few weeks.

Thanks for the quick response. Seems like everyone is getting into the fixed fairing bagger business.

I believe the water cooled motor will make its way to Victory. I had an interesting conversation with a guy who gets hired to do quality training with companies. I wore a Victory jacket to a training seminar at work and that started the conversation.

I used to work with a guy that now does R & D with GM. He gets to go to private test tracks as part of his job. He told me last November that Victory has been working on two sport bikes for 2 - 3 years. He's seen them at the private test tracks

Now that's the kind of rumors we need.

Change is inevitable and in a lot of cases, good. I just hope they don't screw up the comfort/ergonomics. I've demo'd a lot of other bikes, including the Indians and no other is as comfortable as my Lazy Boy Recliner - Vision.

I'd like to have one of those F6B's if the paint wasn't so shitty on them. That is the biggest complaint that I've been reading about; from current owners.

Still a GW. Cramped legs is all I'm saying.

Yes, that can be true. My inseam is 29" though, and I have seen a F6B with highway pegs mounted on the engine guard(s). It looked comfortable for a long ride. I think it would need a backrest though; I'm pretty partial to my Utopia on my Vision.

If the highway pegs are the same as the ones for the GW, they reduce cornering clearance. They also make you splay your legs out, which I find uncomfortable. Watch the GW riders on a long ride. They often dangle their feet straight down, even if they have the highway pegs installed. The GW is a great touring bike, but as good as it is, it just can't match the Vision for comfort.

BTW, I also have a 29 inch inseam, and used to have a GW.
