rdbudd - 2015-07-09 9:25 AM willtill - 2015-07-09 11:00 AM lstayner - 2015-07-09 11:54 AM Still a GW. Cramped legs is all I'm saying. Yes, that can be true. My inseam is 29" though, and I have seen a F6B with highway pegs mounted on the engine guard(s). It looked comfortable for a long ride. I think it would need a backrest though; I'm pretty partial to my Utopia on my Vision. If the highway pegs are the same as the ones for the GW, they reduce cornering clearance. They also make you splay your legs out, which I find uncomfortable. Watch the GW riders on a long ride. They often dangle their feet straight down, even if they have the highway pegs installed. The GW is a great touring bike, but as good as it is, it just can't match the Vision for comfort. BTW, I also have a 29 inch inseam, and used to have a GW. Ronnie

The F6B's seat is set further back so the rider's knee width is narrower and has more cockpit room than the Goldwing.  The highway pegs are either mounted to the crash bars or the spark plug covers (Rivco Aero pegs).  Even so, the Vision still has the narrowest knee width and longest floor boards of the two.

Also, there are multiple rider backrest options for the F6B including the Utopia.

There are definitely trade-offs between the 2 bikes.

I like good rumors too. I was talking to someone who knows the Indian side of the business real well. He said that it won't be long before Vic offers a bike without the Freedom 106... instead with an engine similar to the 69ci Scout. Not sure if it is intended for MY16. I do like that engine, makes for a fun ride on the Scout but definitely a different setup compared to what we are used to with our VISIONs.

My wife ride a Chieftain so I lurk around a couple Indian forums. Those fella are selfish little pigs when it come to new models. They want 2 new model this year. One a little smaller than the Scout (I have no idea why) and one with the straight 4 cylinder engine. I think it is time the way they wait they're damn turn and let us Victory guys get the cool stuff.

lennyb, I wouldn't be suprised not to see a model along the line of the Indian Scout. From what I've heard, that motor was originally going to be for Victory. But all the Indian riders started up the "Indian needs a Scout model", so Polaris moved it over to Indian.

Ok, so you guys haven't seen this? http://www.victorymotorcycles.com/en-us/project-156

Also Victory PLACED in the top 5 on the Isle of Man TT with an ELECTRIC bike !!! Now the models might not be your cup of tea, but you can't argue the company is on the cutting edge.

I read that Monday at 8pm. The website would be updated at the same time. Now is that 8pm Vegas time or EST? Probably Vegas time.

They canceled it. Victory was sold to honda and honda wants to bury the name.

The Polaris Slingshot website has been updated with the SL LE.

Slingshot SL Limited Edition

Victory's website, not so much.

I just saw a photo of a bike that maybe no one was supposed to see because when I clicked on it, (Facebook) I got a 404 error and then when I went back to facebook, it was pulled.

better be more than some lame a$$ upgrade... them saying here, we now have a new model called Cross country Wide.. they put a 140mm front tire instead of a 130mm.. i feel they are going to have to step up their game in the radio dept as well.(not on the vision cause they gave up on that one years ago) but on the Cross bikes, you look at harleys radio options and WOW... it Rival most cars !

I hope they are not "coming out" with a Caitlyn SE Cross Dresser version where they just bolt on a few things and forget to take off a few.

I stopped at a local dealer today and spoke to one of the salesmen. He said tat one of the owners were at the meeting and a couple things fell through with the release of one of the Victory's. he also said that they are so tight lipped that every person entering the venue is searched for recording devices so that nothing gets leaked before the big reveal. whatever got held up was fixed so I don't know what that was about but only what one of the owners can relay back.
I'm excited to see what will become of the Vision, and the direction of the company. I was disappointed last year but I am hopeful to see the forward progression. It does take time to make some changes and from what I see happening, good things will come. I also think that the newest touring bike can be bigger and better than the vision with and entire new platform. only time will tell.

Victory's website has been updated for 2016.

NEWS FLASH / SPOILER ALERT: 2016 Visions and Black and Blue.

8 years and still NO UPDATES, very disappointing (pethetic actually).

I think Polaris has abandoned its Victory customers in favor of it's other endevours (Slingshot and Indian).
