After 10 years, 3 Victory's, 50 states, 20 IBA rides, a few coast to coast rides and two trips to the Arctic Circle its time for something different.
At was an adventure on the Victory's and I will always have a lot of great memories of the bikes and trips.

Congrats on the new ride. I did a test-sit on a CTX like yours and thought it felt pretty comfy. Back when I could handle a that sport/touring position while riding, I always wanted an ST1300 but could never afford it. Love that engine and bet it'll be a great long distance bike that'll last you many miles and years of riding.

Good on you, Steve. So, are keeping the Vision in the stable? Are new stout adventures in store for the Honda?

Hey Rollin,

I have a Madstad on my Tiger 1050.

http://www.madstad.com

I wonder if Mark would work with you designing a Madstad for your new Honda?

Madstad systems are wonderful for touring. It turned my Tiger into a world class tourer.

Just a thought

The Vision is gone. I can only feed and board one bike. I need money for the trips!!

I am hoping to do a few long distance ride on the CTX.

All the best to you Steve with the new ride. Personally I find it to be one sweet looking machine, but it isn't what I find to be the most comfortable platform, but it's not my bike. Kind of a jolt going from seeing you and the Vision on the home page then opening your post.

Many happy and safe miles!!

Well Rollin I see you'll need taller windshield and for sure radar detector.
I never asked but wonder did you ride the vision during the week or weekends.
I sure hop you don't leave us. There is plenty of us that live through your adventures.
Do you think this bike will make it up Mosquito Pass

A taller windshield, center stand and trunk have been ordered. By next spring it should be ready for some cross country rides!

Don't think this bike would make it up the pass, need a light bike with a lot of ground clearance.

Thanks Lenny! There is more "air" on this bike but it is a fun ride. The IBA rides could be a little more challenging!

I know we're on a Victory forum, but can you let me(us) know how you like the CTX and how it compares to the Vision? I saw a couple at the local dealership for $6k off which seems like a bargain for a Honda V4. Congrats!!
