Helping my friend look around for a trunk rack for his 2009 Victory Vision Tour.

Really Ma Victory... $400.00 for a trunk rack!!! That's just plain nuts!

I saw one post where a guy put a Gold Wing trunk rack on his Vision. Fits kinda far back but he got it on there.

I just came across this one from Kuryakyn that has adjustable height and adjustable position feet.

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/4336/multi-rack-adjustable-trunk-l...

Says it fits on a bunch of bikes including a Victory Cross Country, but not a Vision. I'm not so sure that it won't fit on a Vision based on looking at the pictures of it at the link above. May be worth $179.00 to try it.

Has anybody actually tried to mount this Kuryakyn rack on their Vision trunk?

Thanks!

It fits, quality is good, and IMHO looks good. Just installed it on mine - measured again, again, and once again before drilling first hole. Be aware that there are two screws securing the interior trim to mounting post molded into the trunk lid which you need to avoid when selecting where to mount rear post.

Could you post up a picture of the rack installed on your bike? Would be nice to see it installed.

If you can... thanks!

Hey Lenny... thanks a million for the pics.

My friend John took one look at your pics and ordered this rack for his Vision.

Way better than $400.00 for a rack from Ma Victory!

Thanks for the pics and suggestion for a Kuryakyn rack for a vision - way cheaper - the Kuryakyn manual lists the rack as having a 5 lbs load capacity - I was going to use this to tie down the Kuryakyn Pet Palace with Dog (8 lbs) and carrier I would just at 9-10 lbs.

I suspect it would be just fine but curious what other people's experience is. Thanks in advance

A couple of things to consider:
1) The support legs are 2 piece with a ball and socket joint in the middle. Sure seem to be rigid enough when the set screw is tightened up, but too much weight with vibration could become an issue. Perhaps regular checks to make sure the set screw stays tight would be recommended.
2) As with the Victory rack the added weight on the lid will be a strain on the cable which keeps the lid from opening too far. Others have posted having this break with the stock rack, so be careful when opening it to control the shock placed on the cable.
3) Would love to see video of the dog going for it's first ride. Hope it doesn't take a leak all over the back of your bike.
