I decided to do some modifications to my kickstand after it started to bend. I talked to my dealer about it and he put in a request to have it replaced under warranty. Polaris never replied - big surprise.
I wrote Polaris about it and they told me my 5-year warranty does not cover as the kickstand is only covered under the first year - Another big surprise!
So then I straightened it in a press and split some heavy wall 1? square tubing, fit it around the kickstand, clamped it tight and welded the tubing back together.
While I was at it I replaced the rubber pad on the bottom that wears out way too quickly with an old piece of a car tire and stainless rivets.

My bike is a 2011, I tried to post pictures but for some reason I cannot get them to load on here. It did come up on TheVog.net though.http://www.thevog.net/threads/bent-kickstand.63757/

I've already ordered a new rubber "shoe" for my 2014. It appears to have split.

I did the car tire thing to my 2010 XC. Also one of the things I did to my 2015 XCT after I got it last august. Figure I'm good for a 100,000 miles now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had replaced mine a couple of years ago and it was time to replace again. So I hope this will last a bit longer can?t be any worse.

Nice to hear it works Rdeerx. Mine is only a bias ply tire so might not last as long as yours.

This is the replay I received back from Polaris after sharing my post with them.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback and the pictures. I will share this issue and your fix with our Engineering group.

Regards,
Marie
