| Two weeks ago, a drunk driver t-bone me and totaled my bike. It was a 2013 Bronze Mist and Sandstone Metallic. I had only made one payment on it. The only problem l I had encounter was trying to find the Sandstone Metallic paint for the "street back plate". I was not able to find OEM back-plate with that color. I purchased a black-plate, hoping to get it painted, but could not find the pain. I'm looking at another one with the same color scheme. Any suggestions on getting that color or getting the black one painted. It'll be a few weeks more before I can ride again, and If getting that street panel is a problem, I might buy a black VV and call it a day. Off I go for pain management . . . Darn "drunk drivers"  |

Danbury, Connecticut | When I bought my bike it had a scrape at the edge of the fairing. I went to the dealer and they ordered me a quart of paint and a pint of catalyst. Took it to my brother who owns a body shop and he took care of it. 6 or 7 years later and I couldn't tell you exactly where the damage was. Paint matched exactly. If you have the factory service manual, the part numbers for each should be listed in it. If not, your dealer should be able to get it for you. I know it wasn't cheap for the supplies. You'll likely spend more for supplies and labor than for the panel. |
