Ok, I know what some are thinking. "Just what we need, another useless widget." Well I live for widgets, but that's not why I'm writing this.

I honestly do not know why no one has invented this before. I used mine for the first time today and I certainly did not expect to be wowed by filling up my bike with gas, but I was. So much so that I came home, got my other bike and went and filled it up too. Had Lisa not stopped me because we were heading out on a ride, I would have taken the other two bikes also to fill up as using this gadget is just plain amazing and makes filling up, dare I say, almost fun.

So here's the deal. I have two Moto Guzzi's. One is an '81 Convert. Remember the tanks back then. Just a big tank with a hole on top. Almost impossible to fill without splashing everywhere, or if you are lucky enough to find a nozzle with a slow flow you can sit there for 5 minutes constantly checking to see if you're near the top.

I got brave, to a limited extent with this McCuff thing. I put it on the spout as it recommends, but I pushed a little further to give me some reaction time if I needed it. Squeezed the pump wide open, and a couple seconds later..... click. I lifted the nozzle out, let the access drip into the McCuff and I was done. WOW!!!!! Took about half the time to fill up, including getting the McCuff out of it's pouch and putting it away at the end.

Now for my 2002 Moto Guzzi LeMans. It is a challenge also. I have a tank bag, and the gas cap is key operated and hinged. It's a 6 gallon tank and the center frame is not far below the spout so I usually not only have to keep the tank bag pushed off to the side to see how much I'm filling, but also keep the gas cap out of the way so I can see, and all the while holding the nozzle at an angle while I slow-flow the gas in and hope I stop in time. Well those days are OVER!!!!! Now with full confidence I slipped on the McCuff. It seated into the top of the tank. I let the cap and the bag lay where they will cause I no longer needed to look into the tank while filling. With confidence I pulled the trigger on the pump handle all the way. A few moments later.... click. I took away the spout, again letting the excess drain into the tank via the McCuff, and I was done. Tank full, no fuss, no mess.

I am going to order a couple more to keep on on each bike. You should also.

Just an update:

I've had this McCuff® "No Spill, Motorcycle Fill" for over a month and have had a chance to use it several times on all of my bikes which include a Victory Classic Cruiser and a Honda Silverwing maxi-scooter in addition to the above two Moto Guzzi's. I really cannot say enough about what is now my favorite widget. Interestingly enough, it works the best/easiest on the Victory although once you use it once a bike you know how to use on that bike. Also of note is the application on the Silverwing which for those that may know, or have a similar setup where it's near impossible to see into the filler while filling, the McCuff has really made filling a breeze.

As mentioned above I do now have two. Storage is easy. On the Victory I just toss it behind my windshield and it fits perfectly nestled between the headlamp and the windshield bracket, sitting on the light bar. Probably not a solution for all bikes, but just a thought as it works for me. The other one resides in a tank bag, but the holder the McCuff comes with is designed to fit or attach just about anywhere with velcro. They didn't skimp on the pouch either. It has a zipper and velcro closure with a nylon liner of some sort to keep in any smell and stray drops of gas from getting on anything or stinking up the saddle bags.
