A few folks have ask about the new Cee Bailey windshields. My bike was the 'test mule' so to speak. This link is to a few pics I took for them. The tinted shield is stock height - the light grey is the 13".

Hope this helps - RR

I just received and installed my new Cee Bailey windshield. WOW. I purchased the tinted 11". The fit is perfect and it is exactly 2" taller. It looks great on my black XC. Now if the snow would just leave the Dallas area, i will take it out and see if the buffeting is gone.

I too don't like what seems like too much wind so I am planning to get a new taller shield, thinking the 13 inch.
Please let us all know how well it works out for you.
Thanx (pic please)

I've got a 13" shield on the way. It's supposed to be here Tues 16th. I'm hoping it takes a lot of the buffeting away as well.

Sorry for the slow reply, the finally popped out today and melted the snow. It is still really cold; however, i did go for a little cruise, after work, this afternoon. WOW, better. the air now hits me right at the top of my head. I am a short legged 69" tall and with the 11" shield, line of sight is just right. Here are some pics. What do you think?

I really like the way the dark smoke looks with the black bike.

Sorry about the above post with no pictures. I was editing it and suddenly the server went down for maintenance. So here are the pictures:

Looks GREAT! black over black
I wasn't really sure on the height so I ordered the clear 15" for mine.
It can always be cut down it I find it too big.
I also received the heel toe shifter.
Hope warm weather comes soon!

I got my 13" clear yesterday. Went on without a problem. I like the quality of the windshield. Nice and thick. With all the snow we've had here in Dallas/Ft. Worth and temps still getting down into the 20's overnight and water still freezing on the streets I haven't had a chance to ride it yet but tomorrow looks promising. It looks to be just right for my height 5'10" but it might be a bit tall for the wife, 5'7", though when she rides it but it appears to have very little if any distortion when looking thru it.

Finally warm enuf to clock some miles and get up to speed.
The stock windshield allows my helmet to buffet so badly that I cant read the speedo.
Thankfully I had the 15" C Baileys, had it on in 2 minutes and it makes all the difference for me.
Put on about 150 miles. Anybody want a brand new stock shield cause it aint going back on.

I am 5 10 1/2 and the top of my 15" is pretty much in line of sight or a touch lower. If I sit normally I look over it, I can slouch a bit and look thru it. You will be looking over the 13" most of the time but of course at times have to look thru it, parking lots, etc.
I think the 15" is a perfect height for me. BIG improvement over the mid ht stock shield, if I kick back I get good protection.
Also this bike has alot of surface area, fairing, bags and shield so you feel crosswinds, the bike has good weight so it stays put pretty much but it is something to get used to IMHO. You can always go for the 15 and if you find it too high they can cut it down for you but if the 13 is too low you're SOL. good luck, CAP

Any additional information on the 13 and 15 inch shield after install?

Did adding the lower wind deflectors help in the buffeting

Put the 13" on the bike yesterday and it has a vast improvement on reducing the buffeting. 6'2" and am looking just over the top.

Installed the lowers 50 miles later and no real change..

@ 6' 2" tall Placing a level on the top of the shield toward me its at my upper lip.
I think 11-12" height would be perfect to where you would always be looking over the shield.
I think the 15" would place my sight more through the shield and provide even better buffeting control.

Now today my wife will test it out and she is 5"10" and the top is at the bridge of her nose.
If she is happy I will be happy...

There are other suppliers for winshileds too with a euro flip. Try out Gufstafsson Plastics they have multiple colors from which to choose. See the link below.
