Has anyone attempted a connection with the audio system to enable ear buds and/or head phones? At this time, the only factory alternative is to purchase a CB system. This is a little over the top just to be able to bypass the speakers and use ear buds.

You would need some sort of headphone-level (or line-level) output on the radio. Don't think it exists. Victory surely would not endorse using earbuds or headphones of any type. There's been a similar discussion on Vision-Riders about using bluetooth to feed wireless headphones in your helmet. Some of the guys there are pretty ingenious and they might just find a way.
