I have been thinking about getting the factory trunk for my 2010 XC. My wife complains about the comfort of the factory passenger backrest. (pad height is lower than the one on my Suzuki C50). You that have the trunk, could you comment on what your riders say about comfort? Thanks in advance.

Wes; every passenger I've had on my bike with the trunk on loves it. They can even put their elbows back up on the top of the back rest without touching touching the paint.

Thanks for the input. I will try to find a demo ride on one with the trunk so she can try it for herself.

Corbin makes a backrest with arm rests for the trunk that you might be interested in checking out too.

I would definitely demo ride on one with the trunk. My wife gets uncomfortable after 1 hr. For her, the trunk doesn't allow a straight posture and she will slide around in the seat. She does better with a cheap camping air pillow placed on the top portion of the backrest...kind of tacky after spending a bundle on the trunk. Maybe the arm rests would help, but trial and error gets expensive.

Test ride is best. All of "our wimmen" are built differently. My wife says the back of my XC with the trunk is more comfortable that the old Wing I had.

Put Kuryakyn quick attach passenger armrest for harley tourerpack .Had to cut down the bracket but they are nicer than victory .Plus they are adjustable with built in cup holder. also added kuryakyn transformer floorboards for her. Used a harley bracket. to make lower .

The armest from Kuryakyn that you put on your bike , did they bolt onto the tronk braket like the victory one does. I do not like the arm rest from Victory for my cross country tour and I am trying to find a arm rest that will fit my Victory.

I'm getting one through my dealer American Powersports in Findlay Ohio. He quoted me a new Lock & Ride Trunk in Sunset red for $1500 plus sales tax. MSRP on these is $1749.99 so I think he's got a great price. He's on the web at americanpowersport.com

Just installed the Lock-N-Ride Trunk on my 2012 XC on January 10th of 2013. Here's a few pics:

Wife loves the trunk's comfort. Just had to give her a LED flashlight - she hates the dark when the lid closes.
