Victory party is Friday, March 16, in Daytona, not in New Smyrna. The actual location will be released by Victory soon (hopefully).

There will be a group ride to the party, likely starting from the New Smyrna dealer, Volusia Motorsports.

There will be one night where Victory hosts an event at a bar (time & location TBA).

Stay tuned as I am awaiting call backs from other Victory sources.
Is there anyway to include an adjustment for height in the design? My kids want to ride with me and that is primarily why i want the backrest, but they vary in height pretty significantly so it would be nice to adjust the pad up and down based on age/height of the passenger. I'm looking forward to buying one either way, just a thought for an additional design feature.

Damn, between my wifes 12 XCT and my 08 vision I just cant keep up on mods. Pricing is just killing me right now. I would love to put set of these on the wifes 12 XCT but at $249 just for tips, ouch. Hey the piper needs to be paid and it is what it is. Love them. Maybe one day soon.

I have check on different suppliers.. as well as builder sites. $249 for chrome billet exhaust tips are the norm.
It is very expensive to chrome aluminum. Steel can be made... but it just does not give you the look.. the thickness is what sets the tip off.....also the weight is light. We try to keep our parts affordable.
It is very difficult to get the paint to match the OEM 12 XCT Sunset Red. The clear coat has a slight tint built into it to keep the paint from fading and is almost impossiable to match. dont ask how I know I just know from experince... BBob let me know how it goes for matching for you.

Making my stock pipes louder

Cross-Rider Big Vic posted:

Use your own judgement but I don't think most reasonable people would take the advice above. Just because some people are selling modified stock cans do not assume that there is no science behind it and that there was no trial and error involved to get to the product they are selling. First of all let's assume that you want to do it, have the know how to do it, and have the equipment to do it. How many stock cans do you have laying around to experiment with? How many different sizes and types of baffles are you going to go through before you get the performance and sound you are after? Do you really think by the time you figure it out you will have spent less than $300?
For some reason ndabunka has a hard on for people doing these mods. I personally don't understand why. I paid about $300 for my Centerfire 106's and love them. I didn't buy them because they were cheaper than D&D's I bought them because they performed well in my buddies bike and they sounded better than D&D's. The fact that they only cost $300 was a bonus! In my case I do have the ability and equipment to core my own pipes. What I don't have is the desire to piss away my time and money trying to re-invent the wheel. My opinion is if your running stock pipes and want something better do a little research and choose what makes the most sense to you. Likewise I would say if your running stock pipes and plan to keep it that way maybe you should just keep quiet and let those that have some knowledge and a vested interest of the situation speak.

This is really not worth debating for very long................so I won't. I don't really care if you consider it a "service" that your buying or an "exhaust" that you are buying. The bottom line is they are ALL options to replace your stock sounding and stock performing exhaust. Just because Centerfire's and others use the stock cans to build their exhaust does not make them simply a "Service" IMHO getting your oil changed is a service.
