Hello all, I am a new member, I am buying a slightly used 2013 Cross Country TOMORROW with 2000 or so miles on it. Some moron actually didn't like it and traded it for a Harley.
I am slightly worried about it as I am giving up my mint condition 2003 Vtx 1800 to get it.
I love the look, feel, design, features etc. but am a little worried about reliability and how Victory stands behind their product.
I have read a lot of negative things about clutches and fuel pumps going out with little miles on the bike and Victory not warrantying them.
Also, being air cooled will be new to me and this is my 8th cycle. I have also heard it runs hot as hell!
I have 32,000 miles on my Vtx and other than batteries, tires and a fuel pump just this year, have never had any issues. I wish Honda still made these, I would buy a new one.
So please let me know if I am making a good decision. I hope so.

Thanks.

Thanks, I picked it up tonight, not the power of the VTX but not bad.
I noticed the handlebars are a tad off, my right hand is further forward than the left, is that normal? I will have to try and adjust if I can.

hot is relative...ride an ultra classic in stop & go traffic in Destin, FL during tourist season or an ST1300 stuck in traffic in Atlanta. Now that is hot.
