There's been inquiries as to lowers for the Cross Country. Dealers are saying that they are in the works and will be available for 2011. I've obtained a "spy" photo of preproduction soft lowers that fit over the Cross Country's crash bars.

As I understand it, these were a proof-of-concept. I wouldn't expect them to look or attach like this once production begins.

Soft lowers are not exactly a new concept.............fill a hole with material and it will block the wind. All that picture proves is somebody made one ugly soft lower.

It gets confusing because I consider the two plexi pieces that attach to the forks lowers. This is a crash bar insert or lower "faring" and it does look like a proof of concept.

I think a couple things that could sell are a fixed lower faring like the H-D Ultra Classic and a soft, removable crash bar cover to block the wind for touring riders in cold weather. Both would fill a particular need. These look like the quick removable type such as these for Harleys

Dont know where you got that pick of a set of 'lowers' but here is another one floating around. Needless to say, if these are of the 'hard' variety as they appear to be, they would be worth waiting for.

Notice that there are still no saddlebag guards shown on these pics. IS SOMEONE OUT THERE LISTENING?

ncstedo, is this advertisement legit? Do you have any idea who made the lowers?

I saw Victory chrome bagger guards (basically chrome tubing that encircles the hard leather bags) on a Cross Roads at the press release in Colorado. I assume they will be offered in the catalog if there aren't already there now.

Does anyone know part number of soft lower. I saw these on Cross Country today, but can't find on Victory's site.
