Newbie to the site from down around Nashville, Tennesse but not a newbie to riding. Currently own VTX1800R, but have always wanted an American bike but just didn't want to do the whole HD thing. Anyway found a great deal on XC with only 1,300 miles, and I'm picking her up this evening. If everything you guys say is true, I know I'm gonna love this bike.

Oh yeah 1 other thing........ GO VOLS!

If the bike does't have lowers, go ahead and buy some...............or do like me and make them. I made a set 25 dollars.' XC is a great bike, but w/out the lowers there's alot of buffeting.

Well I picked up the X/C and did some extensive riding. I've gotta say it is all I had hoped for. I've been riding a VTX1800R for several years, and it's a great bike, but it's not a touring machine no matter how much I've tried to make it one. The fit, finish, true cruise control, overdrive, and accessories make for a great long day's ride. I'll start looking for some lowers or may come up with something of my on. If anybody has any ideas, I'd appreciate the input. Looking forward to being an active member and maybe meeting some of you on the road somewhere.
