I am getting rid of my Vision for a 2011 Cross Country what are some good options for pipes? Are the stage 1 Victory pipes worth it? Do they make any difference in sound? When i bought my Vision i had the stage 1 level 2's installed and i was very dissapointed with the sound so i got the Ness Big Honkers. Any help here would be great.

Check out the RPW's also; saw/heard them yesterday at Demo Ride day; great sound. The owner is also running the Big Mouth tips on them, for what that's worth.

Hi, New to the site, but saw the post. I just purchased a set of D & D's, they are in transit as I write. I will be more than happy to give my $.02, once they are installed.

Well I got my D&D's today and installed them. Haven't gotten my fuel controller yet, but it's been ordered. Also installed a Victory hi-flow air filter and removed the gasket. The pipes are beautiful. They are a little more money than some of the others, but D&D does some really nice work. They sound very nice, deep rumble. Can't wait to get everything else installed and get the bike out on the road and see how it feels. So far, VERY pleased with the purchase.

You need to hear these pipes your self and go with what sound good. I like the Ness Big Honkers... they have the old skool deep roar.. nice and throaty. Power gains will happen with most applications...
The vic pipes are a dissapintment.. just my opinion. Good luck..

I put the D&D exhaust on my XC and love them. I had the Victory Stage One installed at time of purchase and was a little dissappointed with the lack of sound. I read up on the D&D pipes and saw they work with my Stage One. I gained a little power ( noticable but not crazy ) and a quicker throttle response. The sound is great!! They give it a deeper and little louder rumble than before, so it doesn't sound like the Jetson's vehicle.......You know what I mean

B'ham, Al.

Ford or Chevy?

Blondes or Brunettes

Hamburgers or Hot Dogs, etc, etc, etc.

All a matter of choice. What sounds good to me might sound like crap to you! Take your time, visit a few places that Victory riders hang-out & listen to them yourself.

I went to my dealer at Volusia Motorsport and heard some Big Honkers on a Cross Road and they sounded awesome. When I save up for some pipes I am going with them.

Once you do the muffler swap, next step, do the cam and fuel controller. You WILL love it. I got 116HP and 117 ft lbs on my Vision.

FYI the Vision Gatlin tips work real nice on the Ness Big Honkers. I have a set on my 2011 XC and am very pleased with the sound and performance.

Try this guy.

BOBVICR@aol.com

Sent my originals to him and he modified them and sent them back. $200 plus shipping both ways. I love the deep throaty sound.

So, the rumble per dollar is pretty cheap..... if there is such a measurement. I have had stage ones on my other two Vics (Vegas, Hammer) and they were louder but I like the deep better. Personal choice.

D&Ds are the best I've heard. I liked em so much I bought the company. Well not really but I did buy a set. IMHO they are the best on the market at the present time.

The Rollin Fast pipes have made all of my riding friends happy. Excellent sound, better performance. I hac tried a couple of other brands, they all end up leaving you with a little backfire. Not one better than the other that I can tell. Look into Lloydz idle valve adjuster to help with that side affect.
