I bought my 2008 Vision Tour Premium new in April 2009.  it came with a five year warrant, which never have had to use...Until now.

i'm in the middle of a great Arkansas trip and an electrical problem has arose.  whenever stop and turn the key to the OFF position, the engine keeps running and the headlights ans tail lights stay on.

While on the rode I have solved the problem by 1. hitting the engine kill switch (stops engine) and 2. taking off the fairing cover and wiggling wires until the lights go out.  Hopefully, this will work until I get to my Tyler dealer.

Has anyone had this issue?  any ideas?

Has it had the ignition switch update done? If not, it's free at any dealer.

It sounds like the ignition switch is coming apart (the mechanical from the electrical) which is what the recall addressed.

say shoot a little WD40 in the key slot once a year to help it stay working
