Now that I have your attention... Check this out. It took about 30 min to relocate the cheesy cruise control box so it's much easier to reach. And I have big hands.

1. Cut the ziptie on the wires so you can get at the two screws that hold the CC bracket.
2. Loosten the brake lever assy so it moves - You only need it to move a very little bit to have clearance for the nut on the CC bracket.
3. Remove the bracket and re-popsition it so it's held in with one screw.
4. Tighten everything up.
5. Replace zipties. I added an extra one for security.

Great idea...I will be moving mine over to shorten the reach for the on/off toggle.

I'm glad to help some of you that have noticed the same problem. I'm getting mixed reviews on another forum. One or two comments were starting to get ugly. Hey, if it's not for you, then pass it by and keep riding.

Hey Zig Zag

Don't let those folks get to you. For some reason there are a few of them that feel that they need to share there negativity with the rest of us. If it makes them feel better thats great. There are many of us that really appreciate suggestions and are always willing to help others. For the select few that belittle others' thoughts on the forums expose themselves. We all have our character defects.

That's just the Internet, brother. Some people are just stuck on "asshole" for some reason. Of all the forums I frequent this one is by far the lowest in that kind of person. It's really low traffic, but I've never seen anyone climb up a butt for no reason.

Great idea. I've been trying to find the "upper" brackets, the ones that come with the CB/XM kit, to move my pods to the upper location because of the reach issue. Though I don't like the look of them in the upper location. I can't reach the mute button on the left side when I have the clutch in. Like at a stop light etc, you know? I'm going to try this, makes perfect sense. And don't worry about the naysayers, that's all they have to look forward too.

Hi, I'm really glad that so many of you like this one. I've got large hands but since my crash, my right thumb is a problem. Once again, Glad I could help.

Look up Cheap trick looks good. Another one of mine.

Took a quick look on my Vision today and my bracket doesn't look to have the same setup as yours. Mine is one piece.

As smart as the design of these bikes are and they have the crappiest radio and cruise controls ever. Really sad.
