Kingpin Riders:

Is anyone using a "Laminar Lip" on their Kingpin windshield? Above 60 m.p.h. I get a lot of helmet buffeting (to the point I can't see clearly) and was curious if this device helps with that. Moving the windshield up and down doesn't help above the 60 m.p.h.  Thank you!

I put one on my Sport Cruiser windshield.

Waste of money.

buffeting usually comes from below. Try putting lowers on your bike.

I do have the lower wings on my Kingpin. The company has a 30 day return policy, so I went ahead and ordered one. Andy (the owner?) said he doesn't sell many of his Laminar Lips to Victory owners saying, "I guess they haven't found us yet." I hope to get mine installed this week-end so I can let everyone know if it works.

It'll make a huge difference. I used to have a Vulcan 2000 and had the exact problem you described. I didn't want to go with a taller windsheild as it would put the edge of the sheild at or near my line of sight. I put the Laminar Lip on and the problem was solved. With the improved flow, I had no buffeting. It was like adding 3 to 4 inches to the sheild height. The bottom of the air flow was at the top of the helmet so I was still getting the effect of the helmets air vents. You won't reqret ordering yours.

As a follow up, I wanted to let everyone know I returned the Laminar Lip. It was a quality product but no matter how many positions I tried, it still didn't reduce the wind buffeting. I'm 6'00" tall, stock seat, and raising the windshield up as far as it would go helped a little. I'm sure the "lip" works wonders on most windshields, but on the OEM Kingpin shield, I could not in good conscience recommend it.

That stinks. I hope you find something to help with it.
