I am looking for some feed back on the victory vision as I am thinking about buying a used bike with 70 000 miles on it and I really don't know the bike so I don't know what to do . I really like the bike but don't know how I feel about the milage on her so can anyone out there tell me about this bike and if I should be concerned about the milage.

Thanks Doug

There are plenty of guys on here with miles like that or more (like 156,XXX+ !!!). How well do you know the bike and owner of the bike? I would think that MAINTENANCE would be of utmost importance on a higher mileage bike like that. Maybe a few more details (year, model, price, maintenance records, etc) and some of the riders with bikes with higher miles will chime in... As far as the Vision in general...FANTASTIC BIKE! Good Luck!

I am only at 56K on mine. Other than gas& oil no major issues. I plan on riding this bike for 200K miles.

Not knowing how many miles you ride a year might make a small difference. If you only ride 5K miles a year, this bike will last you for many years.

I do not know the owner or history on this bike so other than what the dealer is telling me, it is a 2008 victory vision for sale for 9400 canadian so a little over 10 000 taxes included.

Victorys in general have been solid bikes. I know of one 2001 model with 228,000 miles on it, with nothing but normal maintenance. There is a 1999 model in the museum in Iowa with 200,000 miles on it (first Victory to reach 200,000).

The Vision is far more advanced and improved than those. If it has had proper maintenance, it will run a long time.

As with anything else there are some owners who have experienced failures. Fewer with Victory than probably any other bike you could be looking at. My guess is that the bike didn't have a lot of down time otherwise the mileage wouldn't be so high. Biggest concerns on the 08 is the radio, 2,500 (recommended) oil change, no ABS, gear indicator not always accurate (more of an annoyance) and cracks in rear portion of front fender (make sure you have this checked before you make a deal). Not sure if the price is right, but I love my 08 at 52k miles and would gladly buy it again.

Good luck, and if that isn't the right one for you - look for another.

Oil and filter change every 2,500 - 3,000 miles and general maintenance, plugs, filters and you'll do fine. 159,408 miles.

I have a 08 and I love it, but I damn sure wouldn't pay $10,000 for an 08 with 70,000 miles on it. Maybe $8500........ I'd be looking for a 2011 and up in the 20-30,000 mile range........

I agree. It seems like too much money. 8500 tops. If you plan on paying cash for the bike then I would not buy this one that was offered to you. Not that there might be anything wrong with it, but the price seems a little on the high side. Service records are a must.

I'm a newby to this site. I purchased a 09 VV Premium with 5600 miles on the odometer for 12,400 out the door last year, but I was patient and waited for the right deal to come along, which was a full year of actively looking. I now have 22k on the odometer since purchased and no issues so far. More chrome on the 09, but no ABS, which is a bummer. I have had good success with oodle and craigslist. Check these out

This 2012 VV with 8700 miles for 14K is a good deal, but not sure how much you want to spend. Try nationwide oodle search.

It sounds like you may live in Canada and I'm not sure of the shipping charges/taxes etc. It may prove to be beneficial to ride the bike back and make a vacation out of it vs paying for shipping or bribe one of us and pay our travel expenses and you may be surprised! Count me in if time permits. Vlad.
