Orlando, FL | Gilbertma, there is an aftermarket backrest that is just like the one Ma Vic used to make. And the word I read somewhere, was that Ma Vic was bringing back the butt ugly backrest sometime late this year (Sept? Oct?) Some of us have been waiting ang hoping for Wil to make a nice looking great backrest since I started this thread after talking to him personally. Hey, it's only been about 17 months and still waiting! LOL LOL LOL

Boise, ID | I hesitate to ask, but is there any update on the CycleOps Vision passenger backrest? I am familiar with the other options that have hit the market, but they are all similar and I would like to be able to consider the option from CycleOps. A passenger backrest is really the one accessory that I want to add to my bike right now. I know others have waited longer than I have, but after a year of checking this site hoping for something solid on a backrest solution I am seriously considering one of the existing options rather than continuing to wait for vapor to become a reality. |

| Been waiting a looong time for the Cy Ops backrest and have come close to pulling the trigger on other options but have not. So I'm glad to hear that there's progress. |

N. Miami, Florida | It's still on the to do list. Unfortunately once again as soon as I'm ready to bring it out I end up embroiled in nasty divorce drama. This time it was my choice, and have gotten sole custody of the house and my 9 and 10 year old daughters on top of all the legal crap. This puts me with more turds on my plate than I an almost handle. B patient, and as soon as the dust settles I'll be on it like a cougar on a crippled chicken. Unfortunately for you guys my ills' well being comes before anything else and hope you all understand. Thanks for your patience! |

Thanks Rollin, but that's not what I and many others want. Some of us think that backrest is just FBU. F'n Butt Ugly. And Vic and someone esle is making those. What some of us want is a removeable backrest that looks nice and has a nicer shape, perhaps something oval-ish.

I took a lot of shit for putting my comment's on here about my purchase from W.Dr. I was even threatened to the fact that certain people wouldn't sell me their product's. I have refrained from buying any more product's unless,I can put my hand's and eye's on them before the $ change's hand's.

Rhode Island | You have to look at it in perspective, he had marriage issues, tried to make it work for the kids sake; it didn't work out so now he has to deal with it and is trying to do what he believes is in the best interest for the kids. Sucks for us but kudos to Will for making the kids the priority.

Boise, ID | Sorry, my comment was not intended to be directed at CycleOps. I certainly feel for him as he has tried to work through his family issues. I was referring more to the idea that the discussion of a backrest beyond the limited options which are basically the same has pretty much ground to a halt despite the fact that there are several of us wanting a new option. Sorry for the misunderstanding - I would never hold family issues against someone.
