Don't let that fool you. a lot of wind will cause that thing to flop and get wedge on a turn. However, yours looks good to me. Mine, if I recalled, even looked brittle around the bolt holes, and the rest look "plasticity" like yours looks all over.

Early last year, before the ride to Alaska, I removed the upper plastic push-pins and installed stainless hardware including two extra bolts. Everything was installed with Loctite.

Even if the lower part of the fender breaks it can't go anywhere.

Interesting Steve...when my dealer installed the new rear fender on my Vision, he had the same idea. He drilled two extra holes in the middle where the rear connects with the front and installed two of the plastic rivit pins. Not sure if it will work or not...that's the problem. I ordered the one piece from Kewl Metals - but damn, thats an expensive fix.
